Luen Hing Electrical showcases ASTRALIUS, REF10 SE120, and MC3+ USB in Hong Kong
From August 8 to 10, 2025, the Hong Kong High-End Audio Visual Show attracted Asia's high-end audio community to the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. With over 130 exhibitors and nearly 30,000 visitors, the show once again proved to be a must-attend event. Technical demonstrations, live demos, and cultural highlights - including live concerts and an opening ceremony with traditional Chinese music - created a diverse and engaging program.
Luen Hing Electrical (H.K.) Ltd., MUTEC's local distribution partner, presented our latest products in a first-class demo room. The ASTRALIUS DAC took center stage, making its first appearance in Asia following its world premiere at High End 2025 in Munich.
The system on display featured the ASTRALIUS, the REF10 SE120 as an external 10 MHz reference clock, and the proven MC3+ USB re‑clocker. Playback was handled by a Denon amplifier driving Bowers & Wilkins 705 S3 loudspeakers - a relatively compact setup that still managed to impress visitors with its sound quality.
The re-clocking functionality of the ASTRALIUS drew particular attention. The two I2S inputs also received great feedback from head-fi enthusiasts and streaming fans alike.
According to many attendees, the MUTEC setup was among the best-sounding systems at the entire show - even when compared to significantly more expensive systems. Visitors praised the system's high resolution, precise imaging, and its ability to reveal the finest harmonic details.
The show itself was more diverse than ever: in addition to traditional audiophiles, it also attracted a notable number of younger visitors - a welcome sign for the high-end audio industry. Live music, expert talks, and market-style product zones added to the vibrant atmosphere.
